Schedule

2014

I'm happy to announce that I will be doing some touring in the next several months with some amazing artists. Starting January 18th, I'll be back out with Teresa James for the Delbert McClinton Sandy Beaches Blues Cruise. This will reunite me with the legenday trumpeter, Lee Thornberg and Teresa's amazing band.

Then a GREAT treat comes in February when I return to Larry Carlton's lineup as we go to Dubai and Japan. David T. Walker will be Larry's very special guest! This promises to be a great tour. There is talk of a live recording as well. Should be very fun!

March will see me heading back to Russia for a two week tour performing my own music along with my good friend David Kalish. This will cap a good few months of work and allow me to finish up recording a new record when I return.

Also, my new project with pianist, Bill Steinway will be making it into the studio to record our new compositions! The band is called Groove Legacy. I'm VERY excited to be a part of this project. It involves some of LA's finest musicians including in the front line, Andrew Lippman on trombone. A remarkable and stellar rhythm section of Travis Carlton on bass, Lemar Carter on drums, and Kirk Fletcher on guitar. Bill Steinway and I started composing tunes and quickly realized we were on to something really cool and fun. The music is reminiscent of some of our favorite groups, The Crusaders, Stuff and the JB Horns. It's funky, soulful and has something that has been missing in contemporary jazz for quite some time...great tunes that lend themselves to improv and interaction. I really look forward to seeing this music come to life.

I hope to see some of you out at a show. All the Best, Paulie

    1. Hi Kelly, sorry I wasn't on the boat this year. Did you go again? If so, how was it? I'm out on tour now with Joe Bonamassa for the rest of the year. I hope you guys are still enjoying my CD....or maybe it's made a fine coaster by now. Hahahaha!

      All the Best,
      Paulie
