January 2014

Starting last fall in October, I had the pleasure of going to Japan with Larry Carlton's Blues All-stars. The group featured John Oates, of Hall and Oates, Reese Wynans (Stevie Ray Vaughan) and Billy Kilson.

Following that tour, I brought my own band to the east cost to do couple concerts in North Carolina. One show prompted a request to produce one of my songs in Los Angeles with my band for a North Carolina artist. That production is underway. I will post a link when it is finished. I then hopped a plane two days later to Norway with the fabulous Teresa James. Lee Thornberg (Tower of Power, Chicago, Supertramp) was my partner in the horn section. It was a great experience and much great tunage was accomplished.

I then headed to Russia for a two week stint co-headlining the Jazz Province Festival Tour. I traveled with my good friend and musical compatriot, David Kalish. The shows were a raging success and we are already making plans for a follow up tour and a recording featuring David and I and some of our own music. Bring the blues to Russia was an incredible experience and I look forward to making a LOT more music for the peoples!
